“The afternoon tea is one of our Great British customs and the perfect excuse to indulge with family and friends,” said Caroline Swindin, Community Events Fundraiser for the hospice.

“Set in idyllic surroundings, guests can expect to enjoy a relaxing afternoon and one of them will walk away with the prize for the best dressed lady.”

There will also be the chance to enjoy live music.

Heather Marie, who specialises in music from a bygone era, will be providing the entertainment with a selection of songs from the 1940s and 50s - wartime, Big Band, swing and musicals.

Tickets for the event, which runs from 4pm to 6.30pm, are priced at £15 per person.

All money raised at the afternoon tea will help boost the funds the hospice needs to care for people living with a life limiting illness throughout the county.
