A Charles Dickens classic is being given the comedy touch by Caistor Amateur Dramatic Society (CATS) later this month.

The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s production of A Christmas Carol will be performed May 20 and 21.

The ladies of the Farndale Society are renowned for their hilariously catastrophic productions - this is no exception.

It is the result of the inept group’s attempt to mount a full scale production of this famous novel, involving more than 20 characters - despite the society having just four actors.

Get along to the town hall for what promises to be an evening of laughter.

Tickets costs £7 and £6 from Caistor Post Office, 01472 851212.

Twenty five percent of raffle takings will go to Coronary Care Unit at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby.
