Open air adaptation of Austen’s Northanger Abbey at country house venue
Moving Parts Theatre Company are thrilled to be opening their summer open air tour featuring their new adaption of Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey in the picturesque gardens of Rauceby Hall, near Sleaford.
This will be their fourth show at Rauceby Hall, following previous productions of Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, and last year’s Vanity Fair.

Is it a thrilling Gothic tale of dark deeds… or a playful, heartwarming Regency romance?
Following the huge success of last summer’s Vanity Fair, this brand new adaptation of Austen’s most theatrical novel follows the fortunes of Catherine Morland, a wild devotee of “horrid” fiction. Growing up in a world of balls, bonnets and Bath society, Catherine dreams of discovering secrets, skeletons, and ancient mysteries. But does she have what it takes to become a heroine?
Perfect for picnics and an impeccable pre-show playlist (thanks to the hall’s owner Jonathan Hoare) it is a great place to say welcome the summer.
Shows are on Friday June 12 at 7pm and Saturday June 13 at 2pm and 7pm.
