Shaffer's Sleuth at Riverhead Theatre

Anthony Shaffer's acclaimed smash-hit, and arguably his masterpiece, Sleuth is coming to Louth Playgoers Theatre this month.

The play was originally produced in 1970 and was hastily followed up by a film version in 1972.

Now professional theatre company Hambledon Productions are producing the original play for a run of three nights - July 28 to 30.

The ultimate game of cat-and-mouse, this surreal, black comedy unravels at a cosy English country house owned by celebrated mystery writer, Andrew Wyke.

Invited guest Milo Tindle, a young rival who shares not only Wyke’s love of the game but also his wife, has come to lay claim.

Revenge is devised and murders plotted as the two plan the ultimate whodunnit.
