Vicar of Dibley in Louth

The Riverhead Theatre will be playing host to a play based on Richard Curtis’s iconic creations from September 12 to September 17 inclusive.

“The Vicar of Dibley is a laugh-out-loud comedy which built a huge fan base over its reign on television from 1994 to 2007,” said a spokesperson.

“Written by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer, it is set round a beautiful old church in the pretty village of Dibley, where we meet some interesting odd characters.

“From the ‘no, no, no,…yes’ Jim Trott to ‘anchovies with peanut butter sandwiches’ Letitia Cropley, we also catch up with David and Hugo Horton, Frank Pickle, Owen Hewitt and Alice Springs - not forgetting Geraldine Granger, the Vicar of Dibley herself.

“This show is a treat for Dibley fans old and new, come and join us for an evening of memories as we relive some of Dibley’s favourite moments.”

The show will be performed every evening at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £7.35 for adults and £4.60 for under 18s, or £6.50 for adult silver theatrecard holders and £4 for under 18s with silver theatrecards.
