Whitwell: Hot Fingers to bring cool sounds of 1920s and 1930s to town

Hot Fingers, with their eclectic mix of vintage acoustic string music, will be returning to Whitwell Community Centre on Saturday, 22nd March.

The trio re-visit the hot jazz of 1920s New York and sophisticated 1930s swing. going from the ‘French Coffee House’ sound of Django Reinhardt and the syncopated Latin rhythms of Oscar Aleman, to the days of early blues, jazz and swing.

Whitwell Community Centre will become a Speakeasy for the event, complete with fun casino, gangsters and flappers.

Vintage 1920’s or 1930’s dress is optional, but an offer you can’t refuse, as it will add to the atmosphere of thevening.
