WIN! Tickets to Disco Inferno at the Lyric

DININGTON Operatic Society is putting on its annual show at the Lyric Theatre next month.

As an exciting departure for the society in its 90th year, Disco Inferno is a jukebox musical based in the 1970s and is a must for anyone who loves 70s music.

It tells the story of Jack, played by Mark Maltby, who works in the club Disco Inferno cleaning tables and generally being a dogsbody.

But Jack believes that he is destined for bigger and better things.

Soon he meets the intriguing Lady Marmalade played by Kazz Osman. The audience are then taken on a Faustian adventure as the story unfolds and Jack follows his dreams to be a music star.

Will he gain the fame and fortune he craves or simply love and a new perspective on life?

Full of 70s hits such as Celebration, I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, Kissing In The Back Row, Boogie Nights and many more, the show promises to have the audience itching to get on their feet and join in with the cast, as the story takes them from laughter to tears and back again.

Louise Selden who comes to directing this show straight from the success of last year’s panto Goldilocks And The Three Bears said: “Disco Inferno has been my first show directing for Dinnington Operatic Society.”

“As a long term member of the society I am really excited by this explosion of a show. It will have you dancing in and out of your seats as we have been throughout rehearsals.”
