The quartet’s programme intermixes classics from the serious to the light end of the musical spectrum.

Predictably, Autumn from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is featured, as are Tchaikovsky’s Andante Cantabile, Pachelbel’s Canon and Debussy’s all time favourite Clair de Lune.

Lighter classics include Blue Moon, Jay Ungar’s Ashokan Farewell, Greensleeves and Beyond the Sea.

Leader and cellist Elizabeth Hanks said “We’re really looking forward to our visit to The Crossing which I know has good musical acoustics.

“It’s good to be able to design our own programme too”.

Liz trained at Sheffield University and now moves between the classical world – playing with established symphony and chamber orchestras – cruise ship gigs, and touring with artists like Alfie Boe, Russell Watson and Il Divo in the Royal Albert Hall and at Glastonbury.

Violinists Claire Turk and Clair Stanley have impressive biographies again featuring performances with the Royal Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and the London Concert Orchestra.
