Young pianist at Crossing
The 22-year-old was discovered in India and came to England in 2005, performing first at various East Midlands venues.
He began formal piano training in 2006 after being accepted by the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester, where he studied piano under the highly respected Murray McLachlan.

Hide AdAt this very early stage, local international concert pianist Benjamin Frith spoke glowingly of Julian’s remarkable technique, interpretation and maturity.
A Crossing concerts spokesman said: “We have watched Julian’s amazing musical development with awe and this is now his third visit to The Crossing.”
“Some of the concert proceeds will go into the trust fund set up to help fund Julian’s continuing musical training and we are delighted to be able to help in that way.”
After Chethams, Julian went to the Royal Northern College of Music where he achieved his B.Mus degree and where he is currently studying a masters degree under the guidance of Professor Dina Parakhina.

Hide AdJulian has performed in many venues around India and the UK including Buckingham Palace. He has also played concert venues in Norway, Germany, Calgary in Canada and Prague.
His programme at The Crossing includes the music of Bartok, Schubert, Kapustin and Chopin.
