Apprenticeship opportunity at food producer

A leading UK food producer with a base in Boston has launched a search for a raft of new apprentices.

Tulip UK says it is looking for ‘the next generation of technical specialists’ to join its apprenticeship programme.

The business is aiming to take about 48 people on board, including one at its production facility in New Hammond Beck Road, Boston.

Tulip’s Group human resources director Kirsty Wilkins said: “Candidates successfully completing the training programme will gain relevant formal qualifications and Tulip will provide them with support at every stage of their apprenticeship to assist them in building a career in the food industry.

Tulip UK is recruiting from now until early April.

The business has 17 sites across the UK, employing about 8,000 people.

It supplies to retail and food service markets, providing the UK consumer with such varied products as fresh pork, bacon, sausages, gammon, cooked and canned meats as well as savoury snacks including scotch eggs and cocktail sausages; brands include Danepak, The Fuller Flavoured Sausage Company, Spam and Stagg Chili and Plumrose.
