The refurbishment will see a new instore bakery, deli to go and hot food to go ranges, as well as a takeaway Costa Coffee machine.

Windows will be installed to brighten the store and make the most of natural light, and shoppers will be able to enjoy free WiFi.

There will also be a seating area so customers can take a break.

“We’re pleased to be giving Market Rasen Food Store a brand-new look, including some extra facilities for our customers,” said Lincolnshire Co-op’s store development manager Matthew Wilkinson.

“As a co-operative we invest our profits back into local communities, and one way we do this is by improving services.

“These changes will make sure the store is fresh and up-to-date.”

The store will stay open during the refurbishment, which is expected to be completed by mid May.

Following feedback from customers struggling to find car parking spaces, restrictions will be introduced from next Monday, April 3.

Parking will still be free of charge, but a time limit of 90 minutes will apply, which will be monitored through ANPR (Automatic number plate recognition).
