Blood, sweat and tears of joy in great outdoors

A Skegness gym has found a way of re-opening to the public - at a new home in the great outdoors.

Since lockdown began, Phoenix Fitness has run live classes on Facebook.

Inside gyms are among the leisure activities that were not allowed to re-open on Saturday and the owner was left to sweat out ways of operating within Government guidelines.

Members and families went along to White House Farm in Addlethorpe on Saturday for the Phoenix Outside open day.

"We had a fantastic response," said gym owner Jack Johnson.

"We are opening at the farm until we can open the gym in Skegness again.

"It was a very bitter pill to swallow when we were told we could not open yet so we wanted to give members something special.

"We've created a tough mudder-style assault course which all the family, including dogs, enjoyed, and a free bar and barbecue for all members."
