registering for the scheme, which will see training, equipment and wages all fully funded by the government for candidates to work 25 hours a week.

In return, the businesses that sign up to the scheme would be supported by SureStaff, who would help create the new jobs for young people and help access the funding.

The scheme, which will run until December 2021, will be offered to anyone between the ages of 16 to 24, currently on Universal Credit, and who are seen as at risk of long-term unemployment.

Councillor Owen Bierley, deputy leader of West Lindsey District Council said: “We are delighted to be able to support a scheme that offers support to those in the job market who are particularly vulnerable right now.

"This scheme would create real, concrete opportunities to get people the vital experience and training they need and they would be able to earn an income in the process.

“We know in our communities right now, there are a substantial number of young people desperate to get themselves out there, learning new skills, and making their own way in the world, and so we are thrilled to be able to support such an exciting initiative.”
