Boston Borough Council is administering the Government Christmas Support Payment, which is available for eligible pubs in areas under Tier 2 or Tier 3 between 2 December and 31 December.

The one-off payment is available to pubs that derive less than 50 per cent of their income from food sales, which is how wet-led is defined.

Applications to the council must be in by the end of January next year.

Councillor Jonathan Noble, Portfolio Holder for Finance at Boston Borough Council, said: “This is undoubtedly an incredibly hard time for all those in the hospitality industry.

“I hope this grant provides some relief for our local wet-pubs and I encourage all eligible proprietors to apply as soon as possible.”

Pubs that derive over 50% of their income from food sales will not be eligible to receive funding through this grant scheme, said a spokesperson for Boston Council.

Pubs that are also in receipt of other Local Restrictions Support Grants can still receive this grant.

All applications for this scheme must be made using the Council’s online at https://www.mybostonuk.com/business-support-grants/ no later than 31 January 2021.

We will aim to make payments as soon as possible in respect of successful applications, however all payments will be made prior to 28 February 2021.
