Developer in deal over units

Property developer Langtree Group has taken full ownership of the 750,000 square feet of Network Space industrial and commercial units it built in partnership with the government’s Coalfields Task Force.

The deal to buy the Homes & Communities Agency’s 49 per cent stake means Langtree now owns 22 estates and two business centres for small and medium sized firms across the former coalfields of the north east, north west, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Almost 2,000 staff work in more than 300 businesses based on Network Space sites, which include the Network Centre business premises at Vector 31 and Century Park in Rotherham, Kirk Sandall and West Moor Park in Doncaster and Zenith Park in Barnsley.

Langtree Group chief executive John Downes said: “It’s been a big success.”

The Network Space business is managed by Langtree Group staff from its offices in Doncaster and Merseyside.
