Green light for new care home - and dozens of jobs

Plans for a 66-bedroom care home in Grimsby Road, Louth, have been granted approval by East Lindsey District Council - and the scheme is expected to create between 50 and 60 full-time equivalent jobs, with many being offered to applicants in the local area.

The two-storey care home will be built alongside the planned residential development at Westfield Park, off Grimsby Road, which is already bringing 240 new homes to the town.

In addition to the 66 bedrooms, the new care home will also include a main reception area, a cafe, a cinema, a lounge/dining room, bathrooms, and a clinic. The site will also include an ample car parking area and bicycle storage.

The application for the new facility was submitted by LNT Care Home Developments, in association with the Charterpoint Group.

Chief Executive of the Charterpoint Group, Adrian Goose, said he is ‘delighted’ the plan for the care home had been approved, and said the overall scheme would create “a super community on the northern edge of Louth”.
