Elite sport will be played without spectators. Organised outdoor sport can resume, but the Government will advise against higher risk contact sports

Partnership Manager Chris Ord said: “The Prime Minister’s announcement this week stating that gyms, swimming pools and leisure centres will be able to reopen across all tiers from December 2 is fantastic news and also a huge relief.

“As a charitable social enterprise, both periods of lockdown have created significant financial pressures for our business, in addition to having a detrimental impact on the physical and mental health of the local community.

“It is heartening to see that the Government has finally recognised that gyms and leisure centres are safe environments, with very low rates of Covid-19 transmission, as well as playing a crucial role in maintaining the wellbeing of the nation.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming back our customers to Better Gym Sleaford and more widely across North Kesteven on December 2 and will continue to implement rigorous Covid-Secure operating protocols and social distancing as we did prior to Lockdown 2.0, in line with the restrictions on group exercise classes within Tier 3.”
