Job fair in Boston hailed a success, with more than 250 people attending across four hours
A job fair in Boston has been hailed a success, with more than 250 people attending across four hours.
The event – the 2026 Boston Jobcentre Job Fair – was staged at Boston College’s Mayflower Campus on Wednesday (April 8).
Delivered in partnership with Boston College and NACRO Education, it brought together 27 organisations, all set to help jobseekers one way or another.
During the course of the event, attendees submitted job applications, registered for training opportunities, and engaged with a wide range of support services.

Among those promoting roles were Ambitions Personnel, Workforce Unlimited, Coastfields Leisure, Penderels Trust, Framework, and Walnut Care.
Representatives from the Army Reserves (167 Regiment, Grantham) and the NHS Talent Academy were also present to highlight career pathways within the armed forces and healthcare sectors.
The National Careers Service also signed up 15 individuals seeking employment guidance, careers advice and CV support.
Kickstart, the Norfolk-based moped hire charity, attended to showcase the transport support options available to help jobseekers overcome rural travel barriers.

Among those to praise the event was Boston’s Butterfly Hospice Trust.
A spokesman said: “We found the event to be very well organised and worthwhile. It was a great opportunity for us to connect with potential volunteers, and we had some really positive conversations on the day.”
Jessie Nicola, recruitment consultant for Workforce Unlimited said: “It was great to attend the Job Fair at Boston College on Wednesday. The turnout was fantastic, and we had the chance to meet so many new potential candidates to discuss the exciting opportunities we currently have available.
“We enjoyed speaking with jobseekers and other local businesses, all of whom were friendly and genuinely interested in connecting. Events like this are such a valuable way to build relationships within the local community and support people in finding the right opportunities.”

Stuart Roberts, employer advisor at Boston Jobcentre, said he was ‘delighted’ with the success of the event.
“We look forward to continuing to support employers with their recruiting throughout the year, with our comprehensive and bespoke recruitment service, including vacancy promotion, CV and application sifting, and access to interview facilities,” he said. “Whether employers are looking to recruit a single employee or a larger workforce, the Jobcentre team is on hand to help.”
“Recruitment support is only one part of what we offer,” he continued. “We are also keen to work with employers and organisations across Boston to create opportunities for our customers through work experience placements, work trials, and employer‑led sessions where professionals can share practical advice and insights on job applications and interviews with our customers. These partnerships play a vital role in helping local people develop confidence, skills, and clear pathways into work.”
