Lakings of Louth wins multiple awards in the National Craft Butchers Product Awards
Lakings of Louth has been named a Gold, Silver, and Bronze winner across multiple categories in the prestigious National Craft Butchers Product Awards.
The competition, organized by the National Craft Butchers, celebrates excellence in butchery and food craftsmanship, recognising top-quality products across England and Wales for 136 years.
Lakings’ standout entries included: • Gold for their Steak & Stilton Pie in the Hot Eating Pie category. • Gold for their Chicken, Bacon & Leek Pie in the Hot Eating Pie category. • Silver for their Butchers Choice Lincolnshire Sausage in the Traditional Sausage category. • Silver for their Lamb Rogan Josh in the 30-Minute Meal category. • Silver for their Parmesan & Pancetta Sausage (Gluten Free) in the Innovative Sausage category. • Bronze for their Treacle Cured Back Bacon in the Innovative Bacon category.
“We are thrilled to have been recognised across such a wide range of categories this year,” said Andrew Wright, owner of Lakings. “Our team works hard to combine traditional butchery methods with innovative flavours, and to see products like our Chicken, Bacon & Leek Pie and our Treacle Cured Back Bacon receive national recognition is a fantastic reward for that effort.”

This year’s product awards saw intense competition with entries from craft butchers across England and Wales. A panel of judges evaluated the products based on criteria such as taste, smell, and appearance, and Lakings’s award-winning products excelled across the board.
The 2024 judging panel included master butchers, farmers, and technical experts, led by Head Judge Steve Derrick. For a full list of gold, silver, and bronze winners in the National Craft Butchers Product Awards, visit: nationalcraftbutchers.co.uk/news.
