For 2020, Chattertons Solicitors and Wealth Management adapted the event to meet the challenge of the coronavirus pandemic.

Instead of the traditional, big group walk, staff and their family and friends took part in individual or socially distanced, small group walks or bike rides.

The longest walk was completed by Newark-based David Dodd at 28 miles, while the longest bike ride was achieved by Edward Papworth, from the Horncastle team, at 33 miles. The total number of miles completed was 330 miles, equivalent to circumnavigating the business’ offices twice.

Kelly Geoghegan, from the LNAA, said: “The entire team at Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Chattertons staff for organising their sponsored walk in aid of the LNAA. We really appreciate the support, especially at the current time, as our income has been affected by Covid-19.

“Every penny raised by the team at Chattertons and their supporters helps to keep our life-saving service in the sky.”
