Lincolnshire egg firm "proud" to have secured partnership deal with Aldi supermarket
The owners of a Lincolnshire egg firm are feeling "proud" after securing a new partnership deal with Aldi supermarket.
Alford-based egg supplier L J Fairburn & Son has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Aldi after signing a major long-term agreement.
Having first supplied Aldi in 2012, the business has grown its annual supply from seven million packs of eggs to more than 43 million packs for Aldi stores across the UK.
The firm's Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Fairburn, said: “We’re incredibly proud of how our partnership with Aldi has grown over the years. What started as a relatively small partnership has grown into something really significant for our business.

“Aldi has given us the extra tools to continue to invest in our people and facilities, leading to some fantastic milestones for the business over the last 14 years.”
Today, L J Fairburn & Son supplies 14 products across Aldi’s British and Welsh egg ranges, including everyday staples alongside speciality golden yolk eggs, proving popular amongst shoppers.
The partnership with Aldi has enabled the Lincolnshire business to continue investing in its workforce, producer partnerships and facilities, with plans now underway to expand its packing centre operations in the county.
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “It’s incredible to see just how much L J Fairburn & Son has grown since the beginning of our partnership. Their focus on quality British eggs and building great relationships with their producers has made them a really important partner for us, and it’s great to see more customers turning to eggs as an affordable, high-protein option.”
