The housebuilder has made two donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) to help protect key workers during the current coronavirus pandemic: the first to St Barnabas Hospice, an independent hospice delivering compassionate end-of-life care and support, and the second to Lincoln County Hospital.

A total of 14 brow guards, 14 visors, 5,000 aprons and 20,000 pairs of gloves were delivered to the Lincoln County Hospital and previously managing director David Newton had delivered surplus stock of face masks and gloves to St Barnabas Hospice.

Mr Newton said: “It is vitally important that every one of us does what we can to support our NHS during the current coronavirus pandemic.

“At Chestnut Homes we have already donated all of the masks and gloves that we had in stock to local hospitals and are doing our best to source more.

“We are hugely grateful to all of the NHS staff at St Barnabas Hospice and Lincoln County Hospital for all of their hard work at this extremely difficult time.

“We would like to encourage anyone who has any of these vital PPE items available to donate them to their local NHS trust to help keep these wonderful frontline staff safe.”
