WiseGuys and WiseGirls are set to launch the joint-venture in the Pescod Square Shopping Centre on Saturday, September 5, taking the unit most recently occupied by the Farplace Animal Rescue charity.

The Mayor of Boston will officially open the store at 9am.

To further mark the occasion, for one day only, discounts of up to 70 per cent will be on offer.

Menswear retailer Wise-Guys opened its first store in Sleaford in 2013. This was followed by branches in Newark in 2014 and Melton Mowbray in 2016.

Its brands include: Antique Rogue, Ben Sherman, Casa Moda, Cavani, Claudio Lugli, Culture, Finch Hatton, Front Shoes, Hey Dude Shoes, La Squadra Paris, Lambretta Shoes, Lizard King, London Brogues, Meyer, and Olymp.

Ladieswear retailer Wise-Girls currently only has one other site, opposite WiseGuys, in Sleaford, which opened in October of last year, but there are hopes of expanding into Melton Mowbray.

It stocks brands such as: Lily & Me, Brakeburn, Marble Scotland, Crew Clothing, SKFK, Powder-uk, Seasalt, Eliza Gracious, Camille, and Ciprit.

The store will be the business’s first joint-venture. If successful, they will look at doing more, says WiseGuys owner, Mike Willis.

“It’s sad seeing high street shops closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.

“With our new store opening is very positive news for Boston and we have taken on three members of staff that have unfortunately been made redundant due to the pandemic.”

Samantha John, owner and buyer at WiseGirls (and daughter of Mike), said: “We hope Boston welcomes us and enjoys what we have to offer the town.

“We have had a good look around what the town already has and we know we won’t be standing on anyone’s toes as we offer brands and styles that are different to what the town already has.”
