New hub for podcasts, content, music and business takes shape in Ludford
A new hub, where people can work, record podcasts, rehearse, film content or get practical support for their music or business product, is taking shape near Louth
Hub 101, a co-working, creative and business space, has been set up in an old Nissen hut at the Redhouse Industrial Estate in Ludford.
It has been created by entrepreneur Nathan Clark, whose background spans 25 years in music, touring and artiste management, alongside content production and digital work.
The hub comprises 20 co-working desk spaces, a dedicated five-microphone podcast room, a private creator and office room, a meeting and ideas room, and a large studio for rehearsal, filming and production. The studio includes a photography wall and lighting, with space for small events of about 50 people.

Nathan said: “The main spaces are up and running now, but there is still work to do and plenty we want to develop.
"Future development will be shaped by how people use the hub. But they seem to like the fact that it’s a bit rustic, practical and has character.
"Plans for the next phase include outdoor working and meeting and creative areas, with the aim of having them ready for next summer.”
The name Hub 101 is Nathan’s respectful nod to No.101 Squadron that was based at nearby RAF Ludford Magna during the Second World War.

“It felt important that the name had some connection to the place,” he said. “Hub 101 is our small way of acknowledging that history.”
Nathan’s CV includes eight years managing actor Kiefer Sutherland’s music career, combining artiste and tour management with releases, label operations, website development, social media, filming and video editing.
Nathan helped to increase impressions for Sutherland’s official website from 14,000 to 1.6 million, while his Facebook audience grew from 5,000 followers to more than one million.
His work across release campaigns included Sutherland’s first top ten hit in the Official UK Albums Chart and three consecutive UK Country Chart number one albums, ‘Reckless & Me’, ‘Bloor Street’ and ‘Grey’.

Nathan now wants to make that practical experience available to independent artistes, bands and local businesses, alongside access to the hub’s rooms and equipment.
Support includes artiste development and mentoring, podcast production, photography and video, content and social media, websites, and AI and business sessions.
“I wanted to create the kind of place I’ve always found useful throughout my own career,” Nathan said.
“Somewhere people can actually get things done, whether that’s working for the day, rehearsing, recording a podcast, filming content, having a business meeting or sitting down with somebody experienced to work through an idea.”

Hub 101 is also preparing to host a Christmas Market on Sunday, December 6, bringing together local makers, food businesses, craft sellers and other traders. Stallholder enquiries are welcome.
For anyone curious about the building or how they might use it, Nathan’s invitation is simple: contact Hub 101 to arrange a visit and a chat about the space or an idea you want to develop.
“I’d rather they just come and have a look than feel they have to make a buying decision first,” he said.
Hub 101 is at Unit 10, Redhouse Industrial Estate, Ludford, LN8 6AJ. Visit the website at hub-101.co.uk or contact Nathan by calling 07879 073488 or emailing [email protected].
