A collaboration of three local artisan businesses will hold a home and gift ‘pop up shop’ at the Old Coach House Antique Centre in Aswell Street, Louth, during October.

All three businesses are run by former colleagues at a charity retailer.

‘Jo Maltby ART’ is owned by Louth-based formally-trained artist, Jo Maltby, who produces fine art original work, prints, homewares, mugs, greetings cards, and more.

Jo often creates homewares and decorations from vintage, recycled and repurposed materials, and her work is available in various stockists and galleries across Lincolnshire.

Jo also undertakes bespoke commissions, and her designs can be either bright and bold, incorporating a graphic influence derived from her love of music, or more serene and traditional, replicating her love of the countryside.

The next business is ‘Laura’s Green Leaves’ and Manby-based plant business, owned by Laura Carter who started her venture during lockdown.

Laura supplies a variety of indoor and outdoor plants, including sensory and air purifying plants. Laura also creates living sculptures using unusual plants and vintage and reclaimed materials, as well as making her own macramé plant hangers.

The third business is ‘Pearson’s Pieces’, owned by Wendy Pearson, who designs and makes jewellery from clay and resin.

Her inspiration comes from everything that’s around her; the seasons, flowers and plants, the colours she sees, her moods, her grand-children, and her friends.

Wendy’s pieces combine shape with bright colours, and each piece is unique.

She has also branched out into making bespoke ashes jewellery, offering a comprehensive consultation to create a piece to be treasured and to help make a person feel closer to their loved one.
