Plateau in fall of out-of-work count
The overall decline in the number of people claiming out-of-work benefits in East Lindsey may have come to a halt, according to figures released on Wednesday by the Office for National Statistics.
The data showed the area’s tally was 1,855 in January, up 20 on the 2016 position.
Compare this to January 2015 when it was 405 higher at 2,260. In January 2014 it was 2,975.
It is the sixth month in the row the count has either been higher or the same as the previous year’s count.
