Popular Boston hotel is given top award

The Quayside Hotel & Bar, located on London Road in Boston, was given the award following a record breaking year of guests staying in the property last year.

A statement issued by The Good Hotel Awards, which issued the award, said: “Quayside Hotel & Bar has been awarded the highly coveted Good Hotel Award for 2020.

“Over the last 12 months, we have evaluated customer feedback and these premises have demonstrated exceptional levels of room quality, service and value when compared to our industry benchmarks in their category.

“In recognition of this achievement, they have been duly awarded the Good Hotel Award for 2020.”

Owned and operated by Smartmove Hotels, the property has views overlooking the River Haven, and features a modern bar and lounge with restaurant.

Speaking on behalf of Smartmove Hotel Group, director Alistair Arundell said: “We are delighted to be named winner of The Good Hotel Award, being the second in the county to have such title.

“Accompanied by our accolade following winning Channel 4’s Four In A Bed, this is a great success for our flagship hotel.

“This award recognises the hard work that manager Guna and her devoted team give to guests during their visit, whether it be to dine, drink, or sleep.

“2020 has been very challenging for all within the hospitality industry, but this announcement was a welcome boost, showing that our hard work is recognised and welcomed.”

The building has long been associated with the fishing heritage of Boston, and first opened as a bar in 1812.
