Post office revamps in Sleaford and Heckington

The new hours will form part of a modernised service to be launched at 1pm on Friday February 19 after closing for three days of refurbishment.

There will be two secure counter positions at the branch, which will open from 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with many more Post Office services becoming available from the Co-op retail counter during shop opening hours, 7am - 9pm, seven days a week, from Tuesday March 15.

Wayne Dennett, Post Office Group Manager for Lincolnshire Co-op said: “We are delighted to be welcoming customers to our newly refurbished Woodside Post Office, which will offer a wide range of Post Office services alongside our extensive retail offer. As a convenience store operator we are always looking for ways to make life easier for our customers and to provide an excellent service for the local community.”

Car tax renewal and a selection of popular on-demand holiday currencies will be added to the wide range of Post Office services on offer. It can also be used by 95 per cent of UK bank customers for online banking cash deposits and withdrawals and bill payments.

The Post Office will have to close at 5.30pm on Monday February 15 for the refurbishment to take place.

This forms part of a multi-million pound transformation programme of Post Office branches.

The Post Office in Heckington’s Co-op store on the High Street is also currently undergoing refurbishment having closed on Monday ready to re-launch at 1pm this Friday with two secure positions and a third Post Office terminal sat alongside the store’s retail till.

Post Office branch will open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with selected Post Office products and services available from the retail counter during shop opening hours, 7am to 10pm seven days a week.
