Potter goes potty for potato book

From '˜smart price' to '˜smart kids', a representative from Asda in Boston visited a local school as part of World Book Day on Thursday.

The store’s community champion, Stephen Bromby, visited Carlton Road Academy dressed as Harry Potter for a reading of Supertato: Veggies Assemble.

Asda is supporting the event by stocking the full range of World Book Day titles, so children can redeem their vouchers in store.

Stephen (pictured) said: “Reading is important to families and, by supporting World Book Day, we want to encourage people to make sure they’re reading with their children.

“It’s a great excuse to dress up and use their imagination, as well as developing language and vocabulary.

Helen Joyce, head of academy at Carlton Road Academy, said: “The kids didn’t stop smiling from start to finish.

“Thanks must go to Stephen and to Asda for giving the children an experience they will remember for a long time.
