Prestigious award for company's new housing development at Alford

A new housing development in Alford has won a prestigious award for a company that has also just built homes in Coningsby.

The long-established housebuilder Chestnut Homes, which has its head office at Langworth, landed the accolade at the Greater Lincolnshire Construction and Property Awards.

It was named the winner of the residential project of the year (over £300,000) category for its Bridgeways development, off Willoughby Road at Alford.

The category sought to award a development with high-quality designs, excellent construction and environmental benefits, as well as evidence of strong engagement with the local community.

Bridgeways consists of two, three and four-bedroom new homes, alongside green open space, woodland and public footpaths, with a stream running through the centre, creating a vibrant and sustainable community with residents’ wellbeing at its core.

The awards ceremony, hosted by the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, brought together construction and property professionals to celebrate “the outstanding talent, innovation and achievements across the region”.

So the honour for Chestnut Homes, which has been building new homes for almost 40 years and has a current development at Kings Manor, Coningsby, is quite a feather in its cap.

Managing director David Newton said: “This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to building high-quality, new communities, which are designed to enhance the lives of homeowners and contribute positively to Lincolnshire’s growing landscape.

“We are incredibly proud to have won this award for Bridgeways. We always put a lot of care and attention to detail into all our developments, building not just houses but places that people can feel proud to call home.

"We are delighted that this philosophy and attention to detail have been celebrated at Bridgeways.

“To have such recognition at such an important industry event is hugely appreciated. I thank everyone at Chestnut Homes and our partners who helped bring this project to life.

"Lincolnshire is our home and we look forward to contributing further to its growth and success.”

The company added: “Set in the heart of the welcoming market town of Alford, Bridgeways is more than just a collection of homes. It’s a vibrant community.

"Designed to bring people together, Bridgeways offers thoughtfully planned spaces that combine modern comfort with the character of Lincolnshire living. Every detail has been considered to create a place where families can thrive and neighbours connect.”
