Peter Rhodes and Rhodes Kitchen will close their doors this Saturday, March 11, and reopen on Monday, March 13 at their new combined premises in Oxford Street.

“We are looking to the future by putting everything under one roof,” said Joyce Rhodes, who runs the business with her son-in-law Roger Clark.

“We will be moving into our service centre and warehouse to create one large showroom - it is an exciting time.”

Peter Rhodes started out as electrical contractors and spent the first 10 years on Gallamore Lane, before expanding and moving to the current premises.

“Joyce has been involved for the whole of the 60 years,” said Roger Clark.

“She is the driving force behind the move and it is her vision that is moving the business forward.”

A formal opening will be held on March 24 at 11am, with Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent.
