Service station near Boston launches in-store bakery offer, creating five jobs
A service station near Boston has launched an in-store bakery offer, creating five jobs.
EG On The Move has added a Bill’s Bakery to its base off the A16 at Wyberton.
It takes the total number employed at the site, which launched in September, to 16.
Junaid Manjra, director of retail and foodservice from EG On The Move, said: “Our market research told us that our customers in our Wyberton forecourt want a fresh bakery offer with a traditional, hearty range including things like sausage rolls and freshly baked baguettes, but also a decent, quality coffee that they can order and be on their way quickly. So, that’s what we’ve created with our new Bill’s Bakery concept – we’ve focused on exceptional quality, fresh food and a range that appeals to our target group.”

Currently, there are only three other EG On The Move sites with a Bill’s Bakery, but more are expected to launch, the company says.
Visitors are told to expect freshly baked baguettes, filled soft rolls, and salad boxes, all prepared daily in store; a selection of hot food; and sweet treats such as cinnamon swirls, Belgium buns, and doughnuts.
