Lincolnshire Police have confirmed two people are believed to have been involved in the burglary at Alisons, in High Street, at around 2.35am on Monday, March 30.

The haul included Wrangler and Mismash jeans and Ellesse t-shirts.

Naseer Iqbal, whose family run the business, said it was disappointing the burglary happened while businesses were closed during lockdown, especially coming up to what should have been one of the busiest weekend's at the start of the season.

"We hope the police will catch whoever is responsible but they are under tremendous pressure at this time," he said.

"These are difficult times. We just have to get through it as best we can."

Following a police appeal for witnesses to help with the investigations, many members of the public took to social medial to comment.

Among them, Bruce Willard said: "Unbelievable!".

And Lloyd Kelly said: "In the current climate anyone committing this type of offence should be really hammered at court and the police should be stopping anything that moves at night."

The investigation continues and police would like to hear from anyone who might have seen an older style silver Ford Focus to transport the stolen items leaving the scene of the crime

One of the offenders was described as wearing an all in black/dark tracksuit, and the other in a light grey hooded top with black or dark coloured tracksuit bottoms. Both had their hoods up.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "We appreciate the images are not great but we think someone might know who the two people are with the added information of the vehicle, the CCTV footage and the clothing description.

"We're certain that someone will also be selling Wrangler or Mismatch jeans and the Ellesse t-shirts and appeal for anyone who has been offered these items to get in touch. We're also appealing for any other information that will help with our inquiries.

"We would like to hear from you if you have any information that could assist our inquiry."
