Site expansion and workforce growth points to exciting and dynamic future for Gainsborough firm
A Gainsborough firm is expanding its production site to help cope with increasing demand from both its UK and European customers.
Technosys, which part of the Autopack Group, is a manufacturer of vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) machines, and the expansion of its site at Heapham Road Industrial Estate, Gainsborough, is part of a £3 million investment plan by the Autopack Group across its UK sites.
The business is also actively recruiting, providing employment opportunities for the local area and building on its current team.
James Nelson, production manager, said: “The expansion is great news for our business and our customers with a stronger, larger manufacturing and service base.

“We manufacture cost-effective machines that can help businesses automate and improve their productivity, which everybody is looking for right now.
“We have the right machines at the right time for the market.”
The move allows Technosys to build more machines and the ability to demonstrate and test full production lines for their customers. In addition, it will support two new models, launching later this year, which will also be manufactured in the expanded facility.
Wayne Kedward, managing director of Autopack Group, said: “This investment underlines the ambition we have for the group.
“We are ready to invest in our acquisitions and give them the tools to grow. We also want to nurture our workforce and expand our team to give our customers the best service and expertise.”
The machines are a popular choice for applications including food, chemical, petfood and component packs.
Wayne said: “This is only the starting point for Technosys and the other companies in the Autopack group.
“Our strategy is to continue to grow organically and through future acquisitions, the group will become a driving force in providing world-class processing and packaging lines for a wide range of markets.”
