'The site offers significant flexibility' - Five-acre development site with planning consent for new homes in village near Boston to go under the hammer
A five-acre development site in a village near Boston is to be auctioned this month, with a £385,000 guide price.
The land going under the hammer is located off Old Main Road, Old Leake.
BTG Eddisons Property Auctions has been appointed to sell the site in a live stream online auction on Thursday, April 30.
Outline planning permission has been secured for 30-plus residential units on the land. However, auctioneers say the site could also have potential for an alternative development, such as a residential care facility, subject to planning consent.

Under the current plans, seven per cent of the site has been allocated as public space and play areas, and a further 9,000 sq ft has been set aside as a car park for the nearby village primary school.
Christopher Theocharides, senior commercial surveyor at BTG Eddisons Property Auctions, said: “With almost five acres to work with and a very competitive guide price, the site offers significant flexibility.
“Whether a developer chooses to move forward with the approved home scheme or looks at the potential for a care facility, they will be investing in a location that has a strong sense of community and proven track record of demand.”
He added: “Old Leake is a popular village and a desirable place to live, especially for families, with good primary and secondary schools, excellent local amenities and easy access to Boston, eight miles away, and Skegness.”
