UPDATE: Woman cautioned after closing A1 in both directions by standing on bridge
The A1 was closed in both directions this morning at Grantham after a woman was seen on the wrong side of the A52 bridge safety barrier.
Officers closed the entire carriageway as well as the A52 while they talked her down. She was arrested and has now been cautioned for causing a public nuisance.
Police were called at 5.30am and the roads reopened at 7.24am.
