‘We have been inundated’ - show homes at Boston-area housing development go on sale as demand grows

The Nook and The Franklin, at The Quadrant, newly placed on the market following rising interest in the site of the A16 at Wyberton.

Lincolnshire housebuilder Chestnut Homes has taken the step at The Quadrant, its site off the A16 in Wyberton, over the two-bedroom The Nook and the three-bedroom The Franklin.

Explaining the move, Helene Key, sales manager at the business, said: “Over recent months, we have been inundated with enquiries from house-hunters looking to purchase at The Quadrant, especially first-time buyers and growing families.

“There is a fantastic new community forming at The Quadrant, which is drawing the attention of homebuyers across the county.

“There is a Costa, Greggs and Burger King at the development, and once complete, the site will also have even more shops, a petrol station, and a hotel.”

Those taking their first steps onto the property ladder with one of these homes will be able to do so with the new Help to Buy equity loan scheme, which launches on April 1.

With Help to Buy, first-time buyers in the East Midlands will be able to purchase a home priced up to £261,900 with just a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage, with the remaining 20 per cent provided through a Government-backed equity loan which is interest-free for the first five years.

The Nook show home is available to purchase for £174,950, while its semi-detached neighbour The Franklin is on the market at £199,950.
