Families in Lincolnshire share Christmas joy thanks to Family Action

Families supported by Family Action’s Lincolnshire Behaviour Outreach Support Service (BOSS) have received vital Christmas support this festive season, as Toy Appeal gifts were distributed to schools across Boston and East Lindsey.
The gifts were delivered by Family Action’s Boston & East Lindsey team and distributed through local schools, helping ensure children and families facing financial pressure were supported at Christmas. Schools shared their gratitude for the Toy Appeal gifts, which were warmly received by families at a time when many are struggling to cover the cost of the festive season.
New research* commissioned by Family Action reveals the emotional and practical toll of festive financial pressures on parents/carers, with 1 in 6 (15%) saying they can’t afford a gift for their own child and almost a third (32%) think their children will be worried about the cost of Christmas and family finances this year
Family Action’s annual Toy Appeal aims to change that story. By providing gifts to children who might otherwise go without, the appeal restores dignity, lifts pressure from struggling families and brings joy back to Christmas morning.

One teacher said: “We were very grateful for all the gifts you delivered as we have a lot of families that are really struggling this year across our school.”
Family Action is urging individuals, businesses and organisations to donate and help bring joy to a child and peace of mind to a parent struggling to make ends meet.
