Freestyle star Jay Rosa brings mental health message to Lincoln City FC

On Wednesday, 4 January, Lincoln City welcomed Peterborough United to the LNER Stadium, with football freestyler Jay Rosa adding an inspiring mental health message to the matchday experience.
Ahead of kick-off, Rosa was a familiar face throughout the stadium, engaging with supporters in the fan village and hospitality areas. He gave a speech on his mission in the Legends Lounge, connecting with fans of all ages. Spectators were drawn in by his high-energy freestyle skills as Jay interacted with young supporters, filmed skills-challenge content, and helped build excitement across the ground before the match.
At half-time, Jay took centre stage on the pitch, delivering an energetic freestyle performance that was met with loud applause from the Lincoln City crowd. He was also interviewed, sharing insights into his mission to promote mental health awareness through football freestyle.
Since launching his EFL Stadium Tour in January 2023, Rosa has performed at over 70 stadiums across the country, using football freestyle as a platform to spark conversation, reduce stigma, and encourage people to seek support when needed. Partnering with Mind Charity, the tour highlights the importance of mental health in football and beyond.

“This tour isn’t just about football,” Rosa explains. “It’s about connection, support, and reminding people they’re not alone.”
Jay has become a recognised figure within football culture, with his work gaining attention from fans, clubs, and media nationwide for its positive impact both on and off the pitch.
