Lincolnshire organisation joins effort to raise funds for frontline medics and children in Ukraine

Sleaford-based not-for-profit scheme, The Community Lab Initiative CIC will bring its community spirit to London for a humanitarian fundraising evening at the Ukrainian Welcome Centre on November 20.

Rooted in Lincolnshire and connected to a wider network, The Community Lab Initiative CIC sees itself as one piece of a large puzzle. From the UK to China, many individuals, communities and organisations are working together to support frontline medics, families and children in Ukraine. Each contribution plays a part in building a collective response and a shared message of compassion.

The Community Lab Initiative CIC connects and supports displaced Ukrainian professionals in Lincolnshire to give them purpose, belonging and job opportunities.

“We may be a small organisation, but we have learned that small actions can ripple far beyond our community,” says founding director Betty Berthebaud. “This fundraiser is about standing together, proving that when people care enough to act, real change becomes possible.”

Funds raised will support frontline medics Andy Den and Olga Klimenko, who continue to deliver emergency aid to hospitals and communities across Ukraine. The event will also contribute to the Christmas Wish appeal, providing gifts and essential items for children affected by the war.
