The fourth annual event, held on Bank Holiday Monday, saw dozens of local organisations and interest groups making themselves known to anyone seeking a pastime, friendships and a wider social network.
Founder Amanda Watts said: “The festival went better than I could have hoped for, absolutely amazing response and most of the venues were buzzing all day.”
She said there was lots of good feedback from participants.
It was the second time it has been done across the town, having grown in scale from a single venue at the Priory Hotel.
It was a day to try something new for free, connect with the community and discover lots of local groups, organisations and clubs, as well as meet new people and make new friends.
She said: “There is so much going on in the town, it is rich in clubs and groups, but people don’t always know about them or are shy. Some of these groups find themselves operating in isolation, so this is a really good opportunity for organisations to collaborate.”
People could walk around the town to the venues, with live music, interactive arts and crafts, free yoga sessions to try, dance and keep fit sessions, with all ages welcome
The venues were St James’ Church, the Methodist Church, Hammond House Art Gallery, Louth Museum, Louth Jazz and Folk Club, Corner of Creations, Riverhead Theatre and the Ayscough Hall.
Groups ranged from the Chess Club and Lincolnshire Wolds Honey, to Louth Male Voice Choir and the RAF Air Cadets, Louth Textile Group and the Radio Controlled Car Club, to the Photographic Society and Butterfly Conservation.
At Louth Jazz and Folk Club you could have a go on an instrument and a chance to take a tour of the Riverhead Theatre.
