Mimi Fest is a free event giving access to great music and community celebration, completely free of charge, held in support of Mimi's Mission which was founded in memory of Amelia Wood with a focus on the wellbeing of the community.
Hayley Hodson, from Mimi Fest, explained: “We don't make any money for the charity as unfortunately the costs are too high, but we did cover costs and that is all we ever aim for.”
She thanked local financial sponsors Louth Self Storage, DS Smith and Ralegh, which helped cover the costs of toilets and First Aid.
She also thanked everyone who came and joined in the day on September 5, as well as all the talented acts who performed: Bluebird Jams, Bang Tidy, Paul Nicholson, Hill Racer, 54 North, B1200s, Pelican, EVER and Klout.
There were also lots of food and drink vendors, bouncy castles and entertainers.
The events team at Mimi's consist of for people. Hayley said: “We all volunteer our time alongside our day jobs. Until four years ago we had never planned an event like Mimi Fest and I can proudly tell you that experienced people have told us that what we created in such a short space of time is phenomenal. James, Steve and Gail are amazing and I can't thank them enough for being by my side for the last four years and creating fantastic memories for all the community and beyond.”
