A spokesperson said: “We were very lucky with the weather, which helped bring out a fantastic crowd, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the show throughout the day.
“There was a brilliant atmosphere, with visitors of all ages enjoying everything the show had to offer. A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes, so seeing such a fantastic turnout and receiving so much positive feedback made it all worthwhile.”
Run entirely by volunteers, the historic show, which was revived in 1983 after a 45-year absence, has grown in stature in recent times and was attended last year by 6,000 visitors.
There was family entertainment, cattle, sheep and poultry classes, a horse show, Cranwell Bloodhounds, a fun dog show, horticulture classes, the Paul Hannam Quad-Bike Stunt Show, vintage and classic vehicles, baking classes, live music, crafts, a tug of war competition and lots of stands.
All proceeds go to charity and local community organisations. This year, the money raised will support Lincoln & Lindsey Blind Society, Wragby Youth Club, Wragby Pool, Horncastle Hockey Club and Wragby Scouts.
Organisers added: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, traders and, of course, everyone who came along and supported the show.
“We’re already looking forward to next year’s Wragby Show, which will take place on Sunday September 5, 2027.”
