Rasen Rotarians give further support to local Baby Bank

During the summer, following the successful Market Rasen Rotary Quiz, £500 was given to the Market Rasen and surrounding areas, Baby Bank.
A total of £250 of this was given in assiduously purchased goods, which made the retail value of the goods closer to £285. A further £250 was donated in cash, to allow the purchase of new cot mattresses and bedding to upgrade the kindly donated cots to the bank.
At the same time, Rotary applied for a District Grant of £300.00 to help support the Baby Bank. This application was successful and now the income from district grant has been spent and presented. This was to provide festive boxes including games, drinks and treats to families.
Picture shows Rotary President, Dianne Tuckett presenting the gifts to Eve Bennett. Eve was delighted with the donation - describing it as amazing.
The group was founded in September 2023 after a meeting held between Eve Bennett and local families with babies and pre-school children.
The group was formed and a home in which to meet given by Market Rasen Town Cricket & Association Football Club .
The group runs on Wednesday mornings from 9.15am - 11.30am and offers a safe warm to space to come to with no pressure of weekly costly fees.
Parents can just pop by and use the baby scales or you can stay for a coffee and a chat with other likeminded parents whilst little one plays.
Evolution developed and now the group covers from birth to pre-school.
Market Rasen Rotarians were pleased to help life to start on a good track in our area.
