Their tireless work has not only made a tangible difference in restoring the health and biodiversity of Lincoln's waterways but has inspired others to join in their conservation efforts. Through regular paddling events RiverCare Lincoln Paddlers have fostered a sense of ownership and pride among community members, empowering them to take an active role in preserving the natural beauty of their surroundings.

Co-leader and founding member Phil Swales sent ‘a massive thank you to all supporters and volunteers who week on week, month on month, go out in all weathers’ to all volunteers on their facebook group.

Phil continues by saying being Make a Difference award finalist has been ‘absolutely fantastic news and it’s all down to our fantastic volunteers giving their free time and dedication’ and he sees the RiverCare Lincoln Paddlers group as ‘one big family really’.
