The Cedars invites the community to a free women’s health event

The team at The Cedars Care Home in Bourne is hosting a free event on Tuesday 24th March focused on Women’s Health and everyone is welcome to attend.
Dr Sara Moran from the Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough will be joining us at 10am to deliver a short presentation on women’s health and the menopause; before answering any questions presented.
Dr Moran brings a wealth of knowledge and specialised expertise in sexual and reproductive health; women’s health, menopause care and trauma-informed care; and she works at The Fitzwilliam as both a GP and a staff grade doctor.
Menopause affects not only physical health, but emotional well-being, relationships and quality of life. Dr Moran will facilitate open conversations where they hope to raise awareness about menopause, break down taboos and reduce stigma. The event will be a good opportunity to learn more about what support is available, and get help and advice from experts and talk to those who are navigating their menopause journey.
Senior General Manager, Rebecca Aldred says: “We want to help and support relatives, friends, neighbours and members of our local community who are currently experiencing or approaching menopause. We are inviting everyone to come along to raise awareness and offer support. Please RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to attend.”
