The annual scarecrow trail challenges villagers and visitors to hunt down over a dozen bird scarers of all shapes and sizes in late August 2026, featuring creative local displays like a Red Arrows pilot scarecrow at The Old Filling Station cafe.
The festival ran from August 24-31 and saw such things as a giant crow outside Holmleigh care home and a beekeeper complete with hive on the lawn of another resident.
Local group the Cliff Village Runners even did a run around the village taking in the trail’s sights, and families to tour the village.
Here we feature a few of the highlights.
