Volunteering organisations in Lincolnshire unite to strengthen support for communities
Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) and Voluntary Centre Services (VCS) are merging to form a single, stronger body, to be rebranded as CVS Lincolnshire
The move by the county’s two main volunteering opportunity organisations is designed to improve services, reduce duplication, and deliver greater value for local communities, partners and funders.
Having worked in close partnership for the last couple of years as Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Partnership (LCVP), on Wednesday April 1 LCVS and VCS will join together as CVS Lincolnshire, combining their
experience, networks, and expertise to create a more resilient organisation.

CVS Lincolnshire is a charity organisation that supports the voluntary and community sector in Lincolnshire; helping people to achieve their personal and organisational goals.
They work across Lincolnshire with local groups and charities to provide practical, community-based solutions to social and economic problems providing a forum for sharing information and knowledge.
They support many rural, socially vulnerable, and economically disadvantaged communities.
The organisation will champion volunteering, support people in to volunteering, support charities and voluntary groups with good governance, policies and funding support.
They offer training, forums and networks which strengthen the sector, support social enterprises and the Lincolnshire community transport consortium and provide social prescribing to support people with their health and wellbeing.
The organisations help health and well being outcomes in communities and deliver projects which are identified with and for the communities of Lincolnshire.
Ultimately, the change is about ensuring long-term sustainability and improving outcomes for communities across Lincolnshire.
Ben Rollett, CEO of the newly named CVS Lincolnshire said: “This merger is about building something stronger for the future. By bringing our organisations together, we can focus our resources where they matter most —
supporting local people and helping communities thrive. It allows us to work smarter, respond better to need, and create a unified voice for the voluntary sector in Lincolnshire.
"Our priority is making sure local organisations feel supported, heard, and equipped to succeed.”
The trustees and the leadership team want to thank everyone who has supported LCVS and VCS over the years.
