Cereals show to go ahead in Lincolnshire

After the sad news that the Lincolnshire Show and Woodhall Spa 1940s Weekend have been cancelled due to coronavirus limitations, another of the county’s major event organisers has announced it is going ahead - but with a revised date.

Cereals, the country’s biggest arable farming trade show, will be taking place at its regular site in Boothby Graffoe, but organisers have moved the dates to “help deliver a safer event”.

Organisers have announced today (Thursday): “After much deliberation and communication with participants and Lincolnshire health and safety, the Cereals team is pleased to announce the event will move to June 30 – July 1, 2021 at Boothby Graffoe.

“Though the Government is targeting a full lifting of lockdown restrictions before the new date, we will be taking all necessary precautions to ensure a safe event for visitors and exhibitors.”

The annual show provides people within the industry to hear from experts in all fields related to arable farming, as well as being a shop window for farm machinery, seed and chemical firms - many based within the county, as well as other services linked to the sector.

Normally the event is held in mid-June. Last year the show went virtual, with information about exhibitors, as well as various speakers, appearing online.
