A-levels 2026: Kesteven and Sleaford High School students celebrate A-level success for bright futures

Kesteven and Sleaford High School says it is celebrating another year of excellent A-level and vocational qualification outcomes.

Josephine Smith, headteacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have achieved. These results reflect not only their dedication and perseverance, but also the commitment of our staff, the encouragement of parents and carers, and the support of governors and our wider community.

"Today’s results are a wonderful example of what can be accomplished when we work as one team. We congratulate every student on their achievements and wish them every success as they take their exciting next steps. They not only take away some fantastic results, which will open doors to them now and in the future, but leave the High School having contributed so much to the school and local community.”

Students will now progress to universities, apprenticeships, employment and further specialist training.

Liv Neasham, of Sleaford, thanked her teachers for helping her achieve the grades to go to do a degree apprenticeship in electronic engineering at Hertfordshire University. “I would really like to work in space,” she said.

Alana McIntosh, of Lincoln, will study politics, philosophy and economics after being accepted by Oxford University. “I would like to go into politics or business,” she said.

Former Head Girl Marith Leafe, of Caythorpe, was happy to be heading to Edinburgh University to study history and German which involves a year abroad which she is looking forward to. She said: “At university there is space to do other subjects as well that I couldn’t at A-level. I am into German history and enjoy the language.”

Isla McQuade, from Heckington, is going to Liverpool University to study English Literature – that is despite being diagnosed with dyslexia when she was eight years old. She hoped to go on to do a PhD and said: “I went to own a book shop!”

Molly Stevens, from Sleaford, opened her results with her dad, learning she had the grades to study film at Brighton University. “I want to become a camera operator in the film industry, and I’m going to see a film at the cinema later to celebrate.”

The school is a member of the Community Inclusive Trust (CIT). Peter Bell, CEO of CIT, added: “On behalf of the Trust, I would like to congratulate all of our students on their outstanding achievements. These results are the product of years of hard work and are a testament to the strong partnership between students, staff, parents and governors. We are delighted to celebrate this success and look forward to seeing our young people flourish as they embark on the next chapter of their journeys.”
